On September 24, 2025, a workshop titled “Artificial Intelligence in Everyday Life” took place in the cozy setting of Café Martin – Karlín, led by Dr. Radim Chvála. The event was designed primarily for women aged 50+ interested in how modern technologies can simplify and enrich their daily lives.

In his talk, Dr. Chvála demonstrated how artificial intelligence is already present in common situations – from smart home appliances and voice assistants to healthcare apps that help monitor well-being and lifestyle.

The atmosphere was friendly and informal. Many participants appreciated that the complex topic was presented in a clear and approachable way, without technical jargon, and that they could ask questions openly, tailored to their needs.

“I never imagined artificial intelligence could be so practical. I was a bit worried I wouldn’t understand it, but everything was explained clearly and understandably,” said Marie, one of the participants.

“It was inspiring and encouraging. You realize that new technologies aren’t just for young people,” added Jana.

The workshop was part of the project VOL Bez vyhoření (VOL Without Burnout), reg. no. CZ.03.01.02/00/22_037/0002560, which focuses on supporting individuals in both work and personal life, and preventing burnout through educational and developmental activities.

This event showed that artificial intelligence is not some distant future concept, but a practical tool that can be a valuable assistant even for women in mid and later stages of life.
