VOL Qualification and Employment

VOLONTÉ CZECH, o.p.s. is building upon the outcomes of previous projects and presenting a solution to initiate change for low-skilled individuals in Group B (mostly those without completed primary education) who are serving prison sentences. As part of a comprehensive employment program, it will utilize the training center at Jiřice Prison for retraining and supplement the program with workshops focused on the labor market, work skills, legal advice, and debt counseling. Together with mentors, the target group will also address post-release activities, including training placements, employment, housing, and more.

INTENS

In this project, which we are implementing in collaboration with the General Directorate of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic (GŘVS ČR), we are addressing the identified issue of unmet needs among non-paraphilic offenders of sexually motivated crimes who are serving prison sentences. With the involvement of key actors (GŘ VS, prisons, National Institute of Mental Health, Institute for Criminology and Social Prevention, target group, etc.), we aim to leverage international experience. Under the guidance of a Service Designer, we will prepare prototypes of treatment programs and selection and motivation programs based on Human-Centered Design (HCD), which we will pilot on a small sample of the target group in four prisons.

This will be carried out drawing on our many years of experience working with people serving a prison sentence, where the need to address a high level of recidivism has been identified, particularly amongst the perpetrators of violent crimes.

VOL Zaměstnání II

VOLONTÉ CZECH, o.p.s. reaguje na potřeby cílové skupiny (neaktivní nízkokvalifikované osoby, osoby pečující o malé děti) v oblasti ITI MB v oblasti zaměstnanosti. S partnerem ProEduCo s.r.o. jsme připravili program pro min. 300 osob, který je zaměřen na zvýšení/obnovení odborných kompetencí pro trh práce včetně rekvalifikačních, normativních a odborných kurzů, nasměrování na vhodnou pozici, zajištění dluhového/právního/pracovního poradenství, doprovázení/mentorinku, nabídky práce a ubytování pro osoby bez sociálního zázemí, tréninková místa pro osoby bez pracovních návyků aj.

VOL Práci

VOLONTÉ CZECH, o.p.s. rozpracovává výstupy minulých projektů a spolu s partnerem a aktéry předkládá řešení, jak uspokojit zájemce z řad odsouzených (CS) o komplexní program zaměstnanosti ze všech věznic ČR. V rámci projektu využíváme vybudovaného tréninkového centra ve Věznici Jiřice, kde proběhnou rekvalifikace a doplní program o workshopy zaměřené na trh práce, pracovní, právní a dluhové poradenství. Pod patronací mentorů bude CS řešit i aktivity po propuštění: tréninková místa, zaměstnání včetně ubytování aj.

This project involves a specific employment programme for low-skilled people with no work experience who are serving a sentence in these prisons. The project includes retraining, the development of basic skills for the labour market and counselling, aimed at helping such people find a job.

VOL Life without Recidivism

Based on its experience with people serving a prison sentence and people released from prison VOLONTÉ CZECH o.p.s., together with the DP WORK s.r.o. employment agency, is elaborating on the results from previous projects and together with stakeholders is drafting an employment programme, including employment while in prison and following release from prison. It is complemented by the Open Prison pilot project of the Ministry of Justice, concerning retraining, employment and debt counselling and employment, including post-penitentiary care for those released from prison.

I Need my Mum

VOLONTÉ Czech o.p.s. wants to draw on its past experience of work with vulnerable families and children, including the findings of its partner, the Centre for the Integration of Children and Young People (Centrum integrace dětí a mládeže, CID), and pilot a new service aimed at strengthening the parental competencies of mothers serving a sentence at Světlá nad Sázavou prison – through regular contact with their children and gaining an awareness of their own responsibility, which will strengthen the mother’s role in relationships within the family.

Invisible Walls Kuřim

In this project VOLONTÉ Czech o.p.s. responds to the to the threat of the possible break-up or alienation of families who have a father serving a prison sentence. Within the framework of this project the grant beneficiary draws on its past experience of work with at-risk families and children, including the findings of its partner, the Centre for the Integration of Children and Young People (Centrum integrace dětí a mládeže, CID), as well as "know how" from the Invisible Walls Wales project. The project will include the piloting of a new service aimed at getting fathers serving a sentence in Kuřim prison permanently involved in family problems through the use of mentors. The planning of this completely new service will cement and synergize family and parental relationships without the restrictions imposed by prison walls.

VOL Nový start

During the course of this pilot project VOLONTÉ Czech o.p.s., in collaboration with the Probation and Mediation Service of the Czech Republic, will provide comprehensive services for clients of selected centres of the Probation and Mediation Service in Central and North Bohemia. Clients will have access to services including debt, legal and employment counselling free of charge. The aim of the project is not only to change the status of the target group in society and on the labour market, but also to gauge the effectiveness of the programme.

VOL HELP

VOLONTÉ Czech o.p.s., together with other regional stakeholders, responds to the needs of the Mladá Boleslav (MB) Integrated Territorial Development Plan Strategy and implements a project focused on the target group (TG) of 300 heavily-indebted people and people serving or who have served a prison sentence, where it is planning a programme to increase their changes on the legal labour market free of debt and in society, free of recidivism. With regard to the TG’s problem of excessive debt the project involves the Chamber of Executors of the Czech Republic as a methodical partner with no financial contribution.

VOL HELP II

VOL Employment

This project responds to the employment-related needs of the target group (TG) in the Mladá Boleslav Integrated Territorial Development Plan and in cooperation with partners - DP WORK s.r.o. (DPW) and South East Asia - liaison, z.s. (SEA-l, formerly Klub Hanoi) has prepared a programme for the low-skilled inactive TG (particularly for released returning prisoners) and immigrants/foreign nationals who come to the region on the basis of work permits arranged by employers.

Crisis Counselling Centre at Karlín Community Centre

With this project, VOLONTÉ Czech o.p.s., together with its partners – the Centre for the Integration of Children and Young People (Centrum integrace dětí a mládeže, z. s.), district of Prague 8, and DP WORK s.r.o. and other stakeholders, responds to new impulses acquired during the implementation of the existing Karlín Community Centre project and intends to create and implement a Crisis Counselling Centre for people at risk of social exclusion or excluded persons (people in prison or after release from prison and their families, children from children’s homes in Prague, the homeless, mothers of sex workers).

VOL Technické zaměření

Projekt reaguje na problém nízkokvalifikovaných žen ve výkonu trestu ve věznici Světlá nad Sázavou se zřetelem na ženy z romské menšiny a romského původu (CS). Žadatel VOLONTÉ CZECH,o.p.s. ve spolupráci s pracovníky věznice připravil program řešící problematiku zvýšení kvalifikace těchto osob formou profesních kvalifikací a možnost lepšího finančního zařazení na trhu práce s referencí z věznice a osvědčením o profesní kvalifikaci. Tím může být u této CS odstraněna platová nerovnováha na trhu práce.

VOL Změnu

Projekt analyzuje, identifikuje a reaguje na genderovou nerovnováhu na trhu práce v automotive v Čechách. Zaměřujeme se na ženy ohrožené na trhu práce včetně nízkokvalifikovaných a žen na MD/RD tak, aby mohly postoupit ve svém kariérním plánu a získat vyšší finanční ohodnocení.

VOL Pomoc předluženým

Projekt na podporu předlužených osob, kde plánujeme spolu se zapojenými aktéry (Věznice Pankrác, Věznice Ruzyně, PMS Praha, Centrum pro integraci dětí a mládeže z.ú, aj.) zapojit až 445 osob. Hlavním problémem, na který projekt reaguje, jsou dluhy, exekuce a obecně předluženost řady našich spoluobčanů a zejména neschopnost řešit situaci bez odborné pomoci. Do programu na posílení kompetencí sociálních pracovníků chceme začlenit i sociální pracovníky neziskových organizací, které projevily rovněž zájem. V propojenosti a synergii navrhovaných aktivit vidíme inovativní prvky, které bychom si rádi ověřili.

A child’s first visit to prison

The Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic has provided a non-investment grant from the 2020 Czech state budget within the framework of the grant title Programme to Support Work with Families Serving Prison Sentences. Our experience of working with women and men serving prison sentences shows that those who maintain regular contact with their children face a much lower risk of recidivism than people who have no contact with their children. The aim of the project is in line with the call’s grant priority, i.e. to establish, maintain and strengthen contact between clients serving prison sentences and their minor children (at least 120 mothers in prison plus at least 120 fathers in prison).
