A project combining requalification training, counselling and a human approach has successfully completed its implementation.

On 30 April 2026, we closed a chapter that stands behind real stories of people who were looking for a way back — to the labour market, to financial stability, to greater certainty for themselves and their families. The VOL Employment II project (reg. no. CZ.03.01.01/00/22_032/0001122) was designed from the outset to address the real barriers preventing people in the ITI Mladá Boleslav area from finding employment.

Who the project was designed for

The target groups were people inactive on the labour market — in particular low-qualified jobseekers and individuals caring for young children. These groups are among those for whom simple job placement is not enough. They need comprehensive support: from skills development and requalification through to debt counselling, practical mentoring and personal accompaniment.

What the project offered

The project's activities covered the full spectrum of participants' needs:

  • requalification courses leading to the award of licences and certificates,

  • career counselling and guidance towards suitable job positions,

  • debt and legal counselling,

  • personal accompaniment and mentoring,

  • job placement services and housing support for people without a stable social background,

  • training work placements for those who first need to rebuild their working habits.

Results that matter

Over the course of the project, a total of 544 people received support.

61 participants were placed in training work positions — both directly at VOLONTÉ CZECH, o.p.s. and at partner organisations THL Trade s.r.o. and PROLUS Dynamics s.r.o.

326 participants successfully completed requalification courses. The most sought-after included forklift operator training, welding courses, and training for the operation of chainsaws, brush cutters and mowers. Upon completion, participants received the relevant licence or certificate — a tangible proof of a new competence they can present to any employer.

Further participants took advantage of a range of workshops focused on career counselling, effective communication, fundamentals of law, financial literacy, work diagnostics, and practical support with writing a CV, cover letter and preparing for job interviews.

A partnership that worked

The project demonstrated that meaningful assistance cannot be delivered without partnership. Thanks to cooperation with THL Trade s.r.o. and PROLUS Dynamics s.r.o., we were able to offer training placements in real working environments — not just on paper.

Acknowledgements

The VOL Employment II project was supported by the Employment Plus Operational Programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to its implementation — participants, partners and the entire VOLONTÉ team.
