United Against Violence: Roundtable Meeting for the VOL Bez násilí Project

On November 3, 2025, we co-hosted a professional roundtable in collaboration with the League of Open Men (Liga otevřených mužů, LOM) at their headquarters in Prague’s Holešovice district. The event marked the launch of the VOL Bez násilí project (Reg. No. CZ.03.02.01/00/24_069/0004882), co-funded by the European Social Fund and the state budget through the Operational Programme Employment Plus.

The roundtable brought together educators, social workers, and specialist staff from the Jiřice, Kynšperk, Nové Sedlo, and Světlá nad Sázavou prisons, as well as representatives from the Probation and Mediation Service. Under the guidance of Adéla Klingelová (LOM) and PhDr. Václav Jiřička, Ph.D., Chief Psychologist of the Czech Prison Service, we discussed the goals, format, and scope of the planned training program for prison staff.

Our shared objective is to develop training that will help prevent violent behavior and strengthen the parental competencies of offenders. At the same time, we aim to build on existing programs within the Prison Service to avoid overlap and ensure the project meaningfully contributes to the further development of work with this target group.
