Between 16–18 September 2025, an introductory training was held at Kuřim Prison for the therapeutic program GLM+, which is being piloted under the project of the same name.
The training was led by experienced professionals from Kuřim Prison, who have long been implementing the original GLM program. GLM+ builds upon that program and adapts it to the specific needs of working with offenders of sexually motivated criminal activity without paraphilia.
This three‑day training, focused on the methodology of GLM’s work and its practical application, was attended by members of the implementation teams from the participating prisons: Nové Sedlo, Bělušice, Heřmanice, and Oráčov.
The training is one of the key steps for successfully launching therapeutic work with the target group, and at the same time it represents an important tool for ensuring quality and consistency in the implementation of the GLM+ program.
About the GLM+ Project
The GLM+ project aims to develop and pilot a therapeutic program for working with offenders of sexually motivated criminal behavior without paraphilia. The program is based on the principles of the Good Lives Model (GLM) and is adapted to the conditions of the Czech prison system.
The project is implemented by VOLONTÉ CZECH, o.p.s., in cooperation with the General Directorate of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, the National Institute of Mental Health, Pábení s.r.o., and other partners.
