On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, a workshop focused on mental well-being for women in prison will take place at Kuřim Prison. The workshop is titled:

“The Power of Inner Calm in a Tense Environment – How to Stay Calm When Chaos Is All Around.”

Participants will learn techniques to manage stress, work with emotions, and strengthen their inner balance. The workshop will be led by Mgr. Iva Barnincová from the LBM Institute, whose experience in mental health and psychosocial support brings valuable insight and practical strategies.

“The topic of mental balance is essential in helping professions. The aim of the project is to offer women working in the challenging environment of the prison service a space to pause, recharge, and strengthen their inner stability,” said Ing. Zuzana Bejó, Executive Director for Project Activities at VOLONTÉ.

The activity is part of the VOL Bez vyhoření (“VOL Without Burnout”) project, which focuses on preventing burnout syndrome and strengthening the personal resilience and mental health of women aged 50+, including those serving prison sentences.

The event is organised in cooperation with the Czech Prison Service.

The project is implemented with the support of the European Social Fund Plus and the state budget of the Czech Republic, under the Operational Programme Employment Plus

(Project registration number: CZ.03.01.02/00/22_037/0002560).
