The organization VOLONTE CZECH ops in cooperation with the Prison Service of the Czech Republic and the non-profit organization Zlutá stužka zs organized a special children's day in Kynšperk nad Ohří Prison. The event took place on October 19 and was intended for children of convicted parents. The aim of this initiative is to enable children who grow up without one of their parents to experience joyful moments in the presence of their family members, and at the same time to support the social inclusion of these families.
"Events like this are extremely important because they allow children to spend time with their parents in a special, positive environment where they can feel safe and loved," said Barbora Černošková , patroness of children of imprisoned parents.
"Children's day, or any family activity that the convict can participate in, is the biggest motivation for his correction. Such a day is special for the whole family, brings hope and significantly strengthens relationships. It is in such moments that the future acquires a new meaning for children and their families," says Tina Chlupáčová , mentor, VOLONTÉ CZECH ops .
Children's days have been held in Kynšperk nad Ohří Prison for the last five years, thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Justice of the Czech Republic. In total, it can be estimated that around 150 children went through the events. The children's day itself is also preceded by preparation on the part of the fathers, the strengthening of communication competences, forms of communication, but also the preparation of gifts for the children are dealt with. The projects also included equipping outdoor children's corners in the prison.
