Twenty-seven convicts completed a forklift operator retraining course in the Pouchov remand prison in Hradec Králové. The requalification course, which took place on June 26, 2022, consisted of both a theoretical and a practical part of the teaching. Every participant had to pass also a written test. The second condition was the successful completion of practical training, namely the operation of the forklift truck itself.
All twenty-seven registered convicts successfully completed both conditions of this course. All participants had received a Certificate of Retraining and a Forklift Operator's License.
The retraining course, which took place as part of the VOL Mentorink project, was organized by org. VOLONTE CZECH, o.p.s., with which we have been cooperating for a long time. The both parts of the course were provided by the employees of the ProEduCo company.
The project is financing from the European Social Fund through the Operational Program "Employment".
The main goal of the project is, in cooperation with the involved prisons, partners, and other stakeholders, to create adequate conditions for the resocialization and reintegration of 150 clients - to support the involved clients in the positive aspects of their development, to activate them to solve their problems and thus prevent their recidivism. We are implementing the project in cooperation with the Norwegian company Åpenhet AS and the Czech company ProEduCo s.r.o.
