At the personal invitation of the Director of the Hradec Králové Remand Prison, Colonel Mgr. Pavel Tomášek, we had the opportunity to present a series of new projects prepared by VOLONTÉ CZECH for the period 2025–2027. These projects focus on three key areas – employment, family support, and the prevention of domestic violence.
We introduced the following projects:
VOL Comprehensive Employment Program (CZ.03.01.01/00/24_078/0005026)
VOL No Invisible Victims, focusing on families of incarcerated persons (CZ.03.02.02/00/24_066/0004673)
VOL Without Violence, a project aimed at preventing domestic violence (CZ.03.02.01/00/24_069/0004882)
The meeting was also an opportunity to express our gratitude for the successful collaboration on previously implemented projects:
VOL Employment II (CZ.03.01.01/00/22_032/0001122)
VOL Stay Free (CZ.03.02.01/00/22…)
VOL Family (CZ.03.02.02/00/22_017/0000254)
Special thanks were extended to prison social worker Ing. Jaroslav Kempf, who played a significant role in the implementation of the projects.
We also reflected on the completed VOL Work project (CZ.03.01.01/00/22_019/0000693), whose results continue to inspire our ongoing activities.
Together with the prison leadership, we discussed specific activities planned through the end of 2025 – including retraining courses, expert workshops, legal, employment and debt counselling. The meeting concluded with plans for a performance by the theatre ensemble Ty-já-tr, focusing on the topic of financial literacy.
We thank everyone involved for their openness, cooperation, and shared will to help.
