Annual Report 2024: A Year of Full Commitment to Helping

We have published our Annual Report for 2024. This document is not only a summary of activities and results, but also an important testimony to what “the will to help” means to us. It transparently presents our projects, services, and activities that we carried out over the past year.

What did 2024 bring?

The year 2024 was a year of intensive work and new challenges for VOLONTÉ. We continued long-term projects while also launching several new activities responding to the current needs of our clients. We focused especially on:

• Support for people in prison and after release – we operate in 31 out of 35 Czech prisons and help people prepare for reintegration into society.

• Work with families of prisoners – we are developing the model of Family Days and programs that strengthen family bonds and contribute to a better future for children.

• We have newly started cooperation with the Federation of Children’s Homes, since up to 8% of children in these homes have a parent serving a prison sentence. This initiative allows us to specifically support more families in difficult life situations.

• Education and retraining – we offer courses and specialized programs that enable our clients to gain skills needed for the labor market.

• Publishing activities – we issued new professional guides and methodological materials serving not only our clients but also the professional community.

Numbers that speak clearly

In 2024 we:

• operated in 31 prisons across the Czech Republic,

• provided our services to more than 1,500 clients,

• published 4 professional publications,

• organized dozens of educational events, workshops, and trainings.

Every number reflects real stories of people we have helped find their way back to a dignified life.

Thanks to our partners

Our work would not be possible without cooperation with partners – the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, the Probation and Mediation Service, NGOs, and state institutions. Equally important is the support of our donors, without whom we could not carry out our projects.
