From September 26–28, we partnered with the Semily Children’s Home and long-time supporter PhDr. Aneta Pavlatová to organize an unforgettable Weekend of Joy for 11 children.

Three Days Full of Experiences

The children were accommodated directly at a horse-riding facility, which became their home for three days — a place full of adventure. The venue offered not only close contact with horses but also a warm and family-like environment that amplified the overall atmosphere.

The program was truly diverse:

  • magic show

  • t-shirt batik workshop

  • horse riding and grooming

  • a financial literacy workshop

  • singing lessons with an opportunity to record their own song

  • a drug prevention lecture, K-9 unit demonstration, and a “courage trail” prepared by the Police of the Czech Republic – Semily

The children left not only with new experiences and skills but most importantly with joyful memories that strengthened their self-confidence and sense of belonging.

A Heartfelt Thank You

Special thanks go to Iveta Salabová, educator from the Semily Children’s Home, whose dedication was key to the event, and to Aneta Pavlatová, who has long supported children through organizing similar Days of Joy. We also thank the riding facility for hosting the entire event and providing a welcoming space.

The children were also delighted by gifts from the football club Slavia Prague. ⚽️

The VOL Bez neviditelných obětí (Invisible Victims) Project

This entire weekend was made possible through the financial support of the project VOL Bez neviditelných obětí, which focuses on helping children and families affected by difficult life situations.

The Weekend of Joy stands as a wonderful example of how — when people with a desire to help come together — they can create an environment full of support, safety, and joy. ❤️
