New welders thanks to cooperation with the Prison Service of the Czech Republic

The cooperation between VOLONTÉ CZECH and the Prison Service of the Czech Republic has brought further successful results - new graduates of the welding course in Všehrdy Prison and Prague-Ruzyně Prison. These courses are part of our long-term efforts to increase the employability of people in prison and facilitate their return to the labour market after release.

As part of the retraining programmes implemented by VOLONTÉ CZECH with the support of the European Social Fund and other partners, participants learned the basics of welding under the guidance of experienced trainers. By completing the course, they gained not only new skills, but above all a certificate that increases their chances of finding employment.

Welding courses are one of the many activities we carry out as part of our projects for people in prison. Vocational training and work experience play a crucial role in the prevention of recidivism and integration into society after release. Our experience confirms that participants with vocational certificates are more motivated to work legally and have better prospects for stable employment.

You can read more about the success of welding courses directly on the website of the Prison Service of the Czech Republic:

We would like to thank all the trainers, prison staff and participants for their efforts and commitment. We look forward to more collaborative activities that help fulfill our mission: to bring people back into society through education, work and support.
